Real character, real choice
Our place is the vaults of an old bank in Shakespeare Street. Step down from the street and you enter an amazing world of barrel-vaulted ceilings, open brickwork and intriguing rooms, each with its own atmosphere. There's the Lounge with its wonderful stone fireplace, the Pillar Room with its solid Victorian structures or what about the two attractive Barrel Rooms? Our beautiful Oak Room with its panelled walls is ideal for booking a function, whether a private business lunch or an intimate family gathering.
Starters & Puds is the brainchild of father-and-daughter team, David and Sarah Burrow. They've taken an historic building and turned into a thoroughly modern environment without sacrificing its original character. And what they want to give each customer is a real choice - of food, of drink and of area to unwind in.
